I Can Sew!

Ok not really, but here is my first attempt at a solo project. I decided to make a camera cozy for my point and shoot. The poor little guy lives in my purse, and believe me it can get dangerous in there sometimes.

I made the pattern myself with some directions off the interweb. I am especially proud because I was able to do a liner and foam cushioning. The foam cushioning was my own genius idea. You will recognize the skull fabric from my earlier tote project.

The directions said this should take about 20 minutes. It took 2 hours.

My Camera All Tucked In

Next time I will add a snap or some velcro so it closes, but the tucking method works well too.

Meet the Camera

My new Canon has arrived. I can tell it does great things, but I have yet to read the manual so I know very little about all the cool features.  Here are some pictures of our adventure at the pumpkin patch. They aren't great (my fault), but they aren't too bad for just pointing and shooting.
