Gifting Dogs

This past month I made two different wool felt dogs to give as gifts. It was kind of tough giving them away (I get attached!), but I know they went to good homes. I hope the recipients enjoy them!

The first was a black dog I did purely from my imagination (no pictures or patterns). I made it for my mom for her birthday. My parents don't have any dogs at the moment, so this guy will have to fill in. Plus he is house trained! I am pretty happy with how he turned out.

mutt for my mom

I even gave him a ribbon collar with a tag- a first!

The second dog was for one of my closest friends Kim visiting from Australia. Her family recently lost their dachshund Pumpkin. He lived to the ripe old age of 14! This little wiener is now far far away in Perth; take care my woolly friend.

Delightful!

I really like the second picture of the first dog, but i must be honest...it creeps me out a little. I feel like i am stuck in a well and that little guy stuck me down there. And now he is peering over the side of it and laughing at me being stuck in his well. That is how well made that little guy is. He can force a full grown man into a scary, dank well and then laugh at him.

I love these pups! Jess, post up the t-rex you made!

And as usual, Casey's blog comments never cease to scare the bejesus out of me.

I kind of imagine the dachshund is the one who was forced into the well, and in the first picture of him he's asking, "why?"
